11 August 2015 I used a star filter to capture this shot and silhouette of the foothills in Whiting Ranch.

5 August 2015 This is a favorite subject of mine, but I usually photograph it from a closer vantage point. I named this myself after the Orange County based science fiction writer.
11 August 2015 I got closer for this one, choosing to focus more closely on the mountain bikers coming in and out of the area. The brush leading to this overlook was thick, but miraculously I did not tear my pants. Four Corners is a central location in Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park.
